- This body of work is the result of a commercial project I shot for the
Virginia Apple Board in the spring of 1988 on location at the Byrd &
Fredrickson orchard and other sites. There were some technical problems
with some of the images and a number of images were not used by my
client. Those rejected images were retained for my files where they
languished until 2004.
- Having done extensive work in graphic design I have some excellent
equipment for this purpose. My digital technology includes film scanners
that can handle the 35mm slides and medium-format negatives that I
originally used to create these images.
- I am finally able to correct the inherent problems in these pictures to
reveal and share the Zen moments that I experienced that day in the
boundary lands between the Shenandoah Valley and the Blue Ridge
Mountains.
